About TM Squash & Training
TM Squash & Training was created from a lifelong love and dedication to the game of squash. My goal is to share that passion by helping players develop both on and off the court. I focus on competitiveness with integrity, and sportsmanship with purpose.
The name “TM Squash” comes from my initials, but also reflects my belief in applying “trademark” squash principles to everything I coach.
My approach centers on three core values:
-
Technique – building a strong foundation for every player.
-
Consistency – developing reliable habits through structured training.
-
Resilience – strengthening the mindset needed to compete and grow.
These values come together in my coaching philosophy:
Built on Technique. Driven by Consistency. Powered by Resilience.

About Me
My name is Tessa
I grew up in Trinidad and Tobago, where squash became not just my sport, but my lifelong passion. As both a junior and senior member of the Trinidad and Tobago National Squash Team, I competed internationally for many years, representing my country at the Caribbean Regional Championships, the Junior Pan American Championships, and major tournaments including the Canadian, U.S., and British Opens. At just 13, I became the youngest player to represent Trinidad & Tobago at a senior international competition.
Along the way, I earned:
-
Junior Highlights: 6× National Age Group Champion, 3× Overall National Junior Champion, 5× Caribbean Regional Age Group Finalist, and Girls’ Team Caribbean Champions.
-
Senior Highlights: 3× National Women’s Finalist, National Women's Team Captain, Caribbean Regional bronze medalist - Women's Team & Women's Doubles. Massachusetts State 25+ Finalist.
-
College Squash: Four-year #1 at Northeastern University, ranked among the top 125 U.S. women college players.
As much as I loved competing, coaching became my true calling. I am a US Squash Level II Certified Coach and currently serve as the Director of Squash Programs at Brooks School. Over the years, I’ve worked with athletes of all ages — from middle and high school to college and adult players — guiding them through technical development, mental resilience, and competitive success.
Recent coaching highlights include:
-
2023 U.S. Middle School Nationals Division I Semifinalists
-
2024 SEA Boys U17 Champion & Girls U19 Champion
-
2025 SEA Boys U19 Finalist & Boys U17 Champion
Beyond the court, I hold a Bachelor’s in Athletic Training and a Master’s in Sports Leadership, both from Northeastern University. My professional background also spans work as a certified athletic trainer, educator, and academic administrator.
When I’m not coaching or playing, you’ll likely find me traveling, exploring new cuisines, or relaxing by the water with my family and friends.
